Heart touching Christmas Story – A Poor Father’s Tale
Jacob was a nobleman whose life was not so good. His wife had died of a disease leaving him and his two daughters in utter depression.
After losing all his money in bad and useless inventions, the family had to move from their castle into a small house, where the daughters did their own sewing, cleaning and cooking. Jacob became even more disheartened when the time came for his daughters to get married, as his daughters could not get married without property, money and dowries. One night, the daughters hung their stockings to dry, after washing it over the fireplace. Saint Nicholas, knowing the misery of Jacob, stopped by his hut on that night.
